Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the psychological horror thriller The Canal. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ceiri Torjussen (Test, Big Ass Spider). The soundtrack is now available digitally (the download link will be added to this article within the next couple of days. The Canal is written and directed by Ivan Kavanagh and stars Rupert Evans, Antonia Campbell Hughes, Hannah Hoekstra, Steve Oram and Kelly Byrne. The movie follows a man who moves into a beautiful period house by the canal with his wife and small child, when he begins to suspect that his wife is cheating on him and also starts to have nightmarish visions of an evil presence he believes inhabits his home. The thriller premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and will be released in select theaters this Friday, October 10 by The Orchard.
