Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1983 crime thriller Gorky Park directed by Michael Apted (The World Is Not Enough, Nell, Gorillas in the Mist) based on the Martin Cruz Smith novel and starring William Hurt, Lee Marvin, Brian Dennehy and Joanna Pacula. The album features the film’s expanded score composed and conducted by James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, Braveheart). Als included are a a number of alternate cues and a source cue written by the Academy Award-winning composer for the MGM production. Intrada has also announced the premiere CD release of the score for the 1977 drama The Other Side of Midnight directed by Charles Jarrott based on the Sidney Sheldon novel and starring Marie-France Pisier, John Beck and Susan Sarandon. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Michel Legrand (The Thomas Crown Affair, Summer of ’42).
