Mark Suozzo has composed the music for the pilot of Amazon Studios’ dramatic comedy The Cosmopolitans. The show is created by Whit Stillman and stars Chloë Sevigny, Adam Brody, Carrie MacLemore, Dree Hemingway, Freddy Åsblom, Jordan Rountree and Adriano Giannini. The comedy follows a group of young American expats in contemporary Paris searching for love and friendship in a foreign city. Stilman has written the script and directed the pilot episode, which was shot on location in Paris and is also producing the project with Alex Corven. Joan Osborne’s cover of What Becomes of the Brokenhearted is the pilot’s opening titles song. Suozzo has previously collaborated with Stillman on numerous features including Barcelona, Metropolitan, The Last Days of Disco and most recently, Damsels in Distress. The composer’s other scoring credits include such titles as American Splendor and The Nanny Diaries. The pilot of The Cosmopolitans debuted online today on Amazon and viewers will get to decide whether they want a full season.
