Premiering tonight is the WGN America original series Manhattan created by Sam Shaw and starring John Benjamin Hickey, Olivia Williams, Daniel Stern, Ashley Zukerman and Rachel Brosnahan. The show’s original music is composed by Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi and Alex Somers who are scoring their first TV show. Premiering on Thursday, July 31, in the U.S. is the mini-series The Honorable Woman created by Hugo Blick and stars Maggie Gyllenhaal, Stephen Rea, Lindsay Duncan, Janet McTeer, Andrew Buchan, Katherine Parkinson, Lubna Azbal and Tobias Menzies. Martin Phipps (Brighton Rock, Harry Brown) has composed the show’s original music. The series centers on Nessa Stein, the daughter of a Zionist arms procurer who as a child witnessed her father’s assassination.
