The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers has published a number of video clips from the organization’s ASCAP Film & Television Music Awards gala, which was held last week at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. Check out the acceptance speeches of the two honorees of the Composers’ Choice Award for Best ASCAP TV Composer of 2013, Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Dave Porter (Breaking Bad, The Blacklist), after the jump. Also embedded below are two of the nights performances, including Garry Schyman‘s music to the video game BioShock Infinite played by a string quartet and Ed Robertson of the Barenaked Ladies performed his theme from the CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory. At this year’s event, ASCAP introduced the inaugural Shirley Walker Award, which was handed out to composers Wendy & Lisa.
