Elia Cmiral has recently composed the score for the upcoming indie drama Any Day. The film is written and directed by Rustam Branaman and stars Sean Bean, Eva Longoria, Kate Walsh and Tom Arnold. The movie follows an ex-fighter who is transformed by the love and forgiveness he experiences through his 11-year-old nephew. Jeanette Zhou is producing the project for Jaguar Entertainment, alongside Darryl Marshak who is producing for The Marshak/Zachary Co. and Andrew Sugerman (Conviction, Undisputed) for Pantheon Entertainment. Any Day is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere later this year.
The composer whose previous film scoring credits include such titles as Ronin, Stigmata, Battlefield Earth and Wrong Turn is also set to score Atlas Shrugged: Who Is John Galt?. The final installment in the Atlas Shrugged trilogy is directed by James Namera and stars Laura Regan and Rob Morrow as protagonists Dagny Taggart and Hank Rearden, as well as Kristoffer Polaha who portrays the mysterious John Galt. The movie based on Ayn Rand’s 1957 book is produced by Harmon Kaslow and John Aglialoro who produced the previous two movies in the series. Cmiral has previously scored Atlas Shrugged: Part I, which was released in 2011, while Chris Bacon composed the music for the second installment. Atlas Shrugged: Who Is John Galt? is set to be released on September 12, 2014.
Cmiral has also recently composed the music for the action thriller Wicked Blood directed by Mark Young and starring Abigail Breslin, Sean Bean and James Purefoy. The film was released earlier this month on Blu-ray and DVD.
