La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1969 western True Grit directed by Henry Hathaway and starring John Wayne, Kim Darby and Glen Campbell. The album features the score from the Paramount Pictures production composed and conducted by Elmer Bernstein (The Magnificent Seven, To Kill a Mockingbird). Also included is the Academy Award- and Golden Globe-nominated main title song performed by Glen Campbell and co-written by Bernstein and Don Black. Bonus tracks include a demo version of the song, as well as three versions of Go Home Girl (one performed by John Hartford and two by Campbell). The label has also announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1982 thriller I, The Jury directed by Richard T. Heffron and starring Armand Assante, Barbara Carrera and Alan King. The album is limited to 2000 copies and features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Bill Conti (Rocky, For Your Eyes Only, Masters of the Universe).
