Alec Puro has signed on to score the upcoming indie drama The One I Love. The film is directed by Charlie McDowell and stars Elisabeth Moss and Mark Duplass as a young couple with marital problems. Ted Danson is playing their therapist. Justin Lader has written the screenplay. Mel Eslyn (co-producer of My Sister’s Sister and Touchy Feely) is producing the project and Mark Duplass (Cyrus, Jeff Who Lives at Home) is executive producing. The One I Love is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere in 2014.
Puro whose previous film scoring credits include The Art of Getting By, Higher Ground and The First Timeis also scoring the thriller The Scribbler, as well as ABC Family’s The Fosters, which will return with new episodes in January. Also coming up for the composer is the feature comedy Mantervention directed by Stuart Archer and starring Nick Roux, Mindy Robinson and Josie Davis and the horror thriller Murder 101 directed by Michael Phillip Edwards and starring starring Tom Sizemore, Paige La Pierre, Sheldon Robins and Randy Irwin, which is set to be released on October 11, 2013.
