TheOneRing.Net (via The Playlist) is reporting that Neil Finn will be providing the end credits song for Peter Jackson’s highly anticipated The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Finn is best known as the lead singer and guitarist of Crowded House. All of the previous Lord of the Rings films featured original songs in the end credits, including May It Be performed by Enya in The Fellowship of the Ring, Gollum’s Song by Emiliana Torrini in The Two Towers and Into the West by Annie Lennox in The Return of the King. No more details about the songs have been revealed yet. The soundtrack for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey featuring the film’s original music composed by Howard Shore will be released in the US by WaterTower Music.
