Last night, NBC’s Rock Center with Brian Williams featured a segment on composer John Williams. During the interview, the composer who turned 80 earlier this year talks about his composing methods and his own favorite scores for director Steven Spielberg. Williams also performs NBC’s The Mission news theme on the piano. Check out a 4-minute version from the segment, which was published on NBCNews.com after the jump. Williams has already recorded the score for Spielberg’s upcoming biopic Lincoln, which has recently been set for a release on November 9, 2012 in select cities before expanding nationwide a week later.
