Hollywood Records and Marvel Music have announced the details of the soundtrack release for the superhero film The Avengers. The album features 14 songs from and inspired by the film, including Soundgarden’s end credits song Live to Rise. Also included are tracks by Shinedown, Rise Against, Papa Roach, Black Veil Brides, Scott Weiland, Bush, Evanescence and Cherri Bomb. The soundtrack will be released on May 1, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips will be added to this article within the next couple of weeks. A separate soundtrack album featuring the film’s original score composed by Alan Silvestri will also be released on the same day. Check back on this page for the details of the score album. The Avengers is directed by Joss Whedon and stars Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, and Samuel L.     THis looks like it will be a nce compilation.

    Though, I am not sure I like that the internetional release is getting and extra track. It’s a bad move, and the movie and music industries should be given hell for it.
