La-La Land Records has announced two new limited editon soundtrack albums. First up is an expanded release of the original score from Tim Burton’s 2001 version of Planet of the Apes composed by Danny Elfman. The 3-disc set includes the film version of the score, including source cues and alternates, on two discs, as well as the original 2001 soundtrack album, which includes the Rule the Planet remix by Paul Oakenfold. To order the album, which is limited to 3500 copies and listen to lengthy audio clips, visit La-La Land Records’ website. Planet of the Apes starring Mark Wahlberg, Tim Roth, Helena Bonham Carter, Michael Clarke Duncan and Estella Warren was one of 2001’s biggest box office hits.

The label is also releasing a remastered and expanded release of the soundtrack for the 1995 romantic drama A Walk in the Clouds. The album includes the original score written by Maurice Jarre. The release includes roughly 30 minutes of previously unreleased music, including several alternates and source cues. The album is limited to 2000 copies and can be ordered on the label’s website, where you can also listen to audio clips. A Walk in the Clouds is directed by Alfonso Arau and stars Keanu Reeves and Anthony Quinn.
