Deadline reports that composer/screenwriter/producer Harald Kloser co-wrote the screenplay for Roland Emmerich’s upcoming science fiction movie Singularity, which he is also co-producing. No word yet on if he will be writing the score for the film as well, but given his previous work with the director, it is assumed that he will also be involved in the music for the project. No information about the movie’s plot has been revealed yet. Kloser previously co-wrote the scripts for Emmerich’s 10’000 BC and 2012 and co-scored both movies with composer Thomas Wander. Sony Pictures has set a May 17, 2013 release date for Singularity.
As reported last year, Kloser also co-wrote the music for Emmerich’s upcoming political conspiracy thriller Anonymous with Wander. A soundtrack album for the movie will be released by Madison Gate Records. Check back on this page for details on the soundtrack closer to the release date of the film on October 28. Anonymous starring Rhys Ifans, Joely Richardson, Vanessa Redgrave, Jamie Campbell Bower and David Thewlis focuses on the widespread theory that William Shakespeare was not the real author of his plays.
