Nima Fakhrara has been hired to score the crime action thriller The Courier. The movie starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Mickey Rourke and Til Schweiger centers on a daredevil courier who’s pursued by corrupt cops and rival crime bosses when he has to deliver a briefcase to a notorious underworld figure who can’t be found. The film is directed by Hani Abu-Assad, who is best known for helming the Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe-winning political thriller Paradise Now. The movie’s screenplay is written by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas (3:10 to Yuma, Wanted). The project is arguably the highest-profile scoring assignment to date for Fakhrara. No release date has been set yet for The Courier.

The film stars Frankie Muniz (Agent Cody Banks), Shelley Long (The Money Pit and Corbin Bernsen (Major League). In the movie directed by Joe Eckardt, a college student who works full time at his mother’s Pizza restaurant is suddenly confronted with having superpowers. A release date for Pizza Man has yet to be announced.
