As previously announced by the composer, Brian Tyler has been hired to score the upcoming action sequel Fast Five. The movie marks Brian Tyler’s and director Justin Lin’s third film in the series after The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and last year’s Fast & Furious. The film’s cast includes Vin Diesel, Paul Walker Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Ludacris Bridges and Dwayne Johnson. In Fast Five, Dominic (Diesel) and his crew find themselves on the wrong side of the law once again as they try to switch lanes between a ruthless drug lord and a relentless federal agent. As previously reported, Brian Tyler also has the sci-fi action movie Battle: Los Angeles coming out next year. The Jonathan Liebesman directed movie starring Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez and Bridget Moynahan, in which a Marine platoon faces off against an alien invasion in Los Angeles is set to open on March 11, 2011.  Tyler recorded his score earlier this fall.
