Patrick Doyle will provide the score for the upcoming animated feature Sir Billi. In the movie, a retired veterinarian living in a remote Scottish village encounters a goat who thinks he’s a dog, an Admiral who’s afraid of the water and a beaver who was raised by rabbits. The movie’s voice talent includes Sean Connery, Alan Cumming and Miriam Margolyes. Doyle himself is also going to voice one of the characters in the film. The movie is currently in post production and no release date has been announced so far.
Doyle also has the drama Main Street coming out later this year. In the movie, several residents of a small Southern city whose lives are changed by the arrival of a stranger with a controversial plan to save their decaying hometown. The movie directed by John Doyle stars Colin Firth, Orlando Bloom, Patricia Clarkson, Amber Tamblyn and Ellen Burstyn.
It is also expected that Doyle will score the comic book adaptation Thor given his relationship with director Kenneth Branagh, but Film Music Reporter hasn’t been able to confirm the assignment at this point.
