Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring, Insidious, Annabelle, Malignant, The Curse of La Llorona) has been tapped to score the upcoming horror movie Tarot. The film marks the feature directorial debut of screenwriters/producers Spenser Cohen & Anna Halberg (Moonfall, Extinction) and stars Harriet Slater, Adain Bradley, Avantika and Jacob Batalon. The Screen Gems procuction follows a group of friends who unknowingly unleash an unspeakable evil when they recklessly violate the sacred rule of Tarot readings and end up in a race against death to escape the future foretold in their readings. Cohen & Halberg also wrote the screenplay. Leslie Morgenstein (You, The Vampire Diaries), Elysa Koplovitz Dutton (Purple Hearts, Everything, Everything) and Scott Glassgold (Prospect, Hurricane Season) are producing the project. Bishara has previously collaborated with Morgenstein on the Max original series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. Tarot will be released in theaters nationwide on May 10, 2024 by Sony Pictures.
