Netflix Music has released the original song Take the World by Storm from the Netflix animated film The Monkey King. The track written by Tony Award winners Toby Marlow & Lucy Moss (SIX), produced by Ali Dee and performed by Bowen Yang, Ron Yuan & Jo Koy (who also star in the movie) is now available to stream/download (in two different versions) on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the song below. A full soundtrack album featuring more songs and Toby Chu’s original score from the animated comedy will be coming out next week. The Monkey King is directed by Anthony Stacchi and also features the voices of Jimmy O. Yang, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport, BD Wong, Nan Li & Stephanie Hsu. The animated feature is opening in select theaters today and will premiere next Friday, August 18 on Netflix.
