La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1989 slasher movie Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan directed by Rob Hedden and starring Jensen Daggett, Scott Reeves, Peter Mark Richman and Kane Hodder. The album features the film’s original music composed and performed by Fred Mollin (Fast Company, Screwballs II) who also co-scored the previous installment in the series (Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood) with Harry Manfredini. Also included are four previously unreleased songs from the movie from Mollin’s and songwriter Stan Meissner’s personal archives.
