Anne Nikitin has been hired to score the upcoming BBC and PBS Masterpiece mini-series Mrs. Wilson. The show is developed by Anna Symon (Indian Summers) and stars Ruth Wilson, Iain Glenn, Keely Hawes, Anupam Kher and Fiona Shaw. The 3-part drama directed by Richard Laxton is set in 1940s and 1960s London and 1930s India and follows Alison Wilson, who thinks she is happily married until her husband dies and a woman turns up on the doorstep claiming that she is the real Mrs. Wilson. Wilson is also executive producing the project with Ruth Kenley-Letts & Neil Blair (C.B. Strike), Lucy Richer (Top of the Lake, Howards End) and Rebecca Eaton (Sherlock, Poldark). Mrs. Wilson is expected to premiere later this year in the UK on BBC and in the U.S. on PBS.
Nikitin’s recent projects also include American Animals, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be released in theaters next month, as well as Matt Palmer’s thriller Calibre, which will premiere next month at the Edinburgh Film Festival.
