Nathan Barr is set to score the upcoming Amazon original series Carnival Row. The fantasy drama is created by Travis Beacham (Pacific Rim, Clash of the Titans) & Rene Echevarria (Castle, Teen Wolf) and stars Orlando Bloom, Cara Delevingne, David Gyasi, Karla Crome, Indira Varma and Tamzin Merchant. The show is set in a neo-Victorian city, where mythical creatures who have fled their war-torn homeland are gathered, and follows the investigation into a string of unsolved murders that are eating away at whatever uneasy peace still exists. Echevarria & Beacham are also executive producing the Legendary Television production with Jon Amiel (Entrapment, Sommersby). Carnival Row is expected to premiere in 2019 on Amazon Prime.
Barr (True Blood, Hostel, Cabin Fever, Flatliners) is also scoring the sixth and final season of the FX series The Americans, which is premiering tonight. He also continues to score Amazon’s Sneaky Pete and AMC’s The Son and also has Eli Roth’s feature The House with a Clock in Its Walls starring Cate Blanchett & Jack Black, Stephen Moyer’s The Parting Glass and the thriller The Domestics coming up.
