Ramin Djawadi has been tapped to score the upcoming drama The Mountain Between Us. The film is directed by Hany Abu-Assad (Paradise Now, Omar) and stars Kate Winslet, Idris Elba, Beau Bridges and Dermot Mulroney. The movie is based on the book of the same title by Charles Martin and follows a surgeon and a journalist who pair up for the sake of convenience to take a small plane that crashes in the middle of nowhere. Chris Weitz (About a Boy, American Pie) and J. Mills Goodloe (The Age of Adaline) wrote the screenplay. Peter Chernin (Rise/Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Oblivion) and Jenno Topping (Hidden Figures, Spy) are producing the project.
