Rob Simonsen is scoring the upcoming comedy Tully. The film is directed by Jason Reitman (Juno, Up in the Air, Thank You for Smoking) and stars Charlize Theron, Mackenzie Davis, Mark Duplass and Ron Livingston. The movie follows a mother of three who comes to form a unique bond with a thoughtful, surprising and sometimes challenging young nanny named Tully. Diablo Cody (Juno, Young Adult, United States of Tara) wrote the screenplay. Reitman is also producing the project with Helen Estabrook (Whiplash, Labor Day), Aaron L. Gilbert (The Birth of a Nation) for Bron Studios, Cody, Mason Novick (500 Days of Sumer), as well as Theron, A.J. Dix (The Butterfly Effect) & Beth Kono (Atomic Blonde) for Denver & Delilah. Tully is set to be released on April 20, 2018 by Focus Features.
Simonsen’s recent projects include Marc Webb’s Gifted and Zach Braff’s Going in Style, both of which are now playing in theaters. He also has the comedy Bastards and Marc Webb’s drama The Only Boy Living in New York coming up.
