A soundtrack album will be released for the French dramatic comedy The Midwife (Sage femme). The album features the film’s original music composed by Gregoire Hetzel (Incendies, The Tree, My Golden Days, Daguerrotype, Summertime) and performed by the London Chamber Orchestra. The soundtrack will be released digitally overseas on March 22, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Midwife is written and directed by Martin Provost and stars Catherine Deneuve, Catherine Frot, Olivier Gourmet, Quentin Dolmaire and Mylène Demongeot. The movie revolves around a midwife who gets unexpected news from her father’s old mistress. The dramedy premiered at this year’s Berlin Film Festival and will be released in French theaters on Wednesday, March 22. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
