Ludwig Goransson is set to compose the original music for the upcoming FX original series Atlanta. The show is created by Donald Glover who also stars in the show alongside Brian Tyree Henry, LaKeith Lee Stanfield, Zazie Beetz and Bret E. Benson. The comedy revolves around two cousins on their way up through the Atlanta rap scene whose opposing views on art versus commerce, success and race will make their quest anything but easy. Glover is also executive producing the project with Paul Simms (Girls, Divorce) for FX Prods. and Dianne McGunigle for MGMT Entertainment. Gorannsson has previously collaborated with Glover (aka Childish Gambino) on numerous records of the actor/rapper/writer/producer. He also scored all episodes of the Glover-starring NBC comedy Community. Atlanta is set to premiere this fall on FX.
Goransson also continues to score Fox’s New Girl and Starz’s Survivor’s Remorse, as well as TBS’ Angie Tribeca. The composer’s upcoming feature projects include Central Intelligence starring Dwayne Johnson & Kevin Hart.
