Keller Edde Studios announced today that Ennio Morricone is attached to compose the score for the upcoming Holocaust drama A Rose in Winter. The film will be written and directed by Joshua Sinclair (screenwriter of Gigolo & Judgment in Berlin). The movie tells the story of German Jewish philosopher Edith Stein, who was killed by Nazis at Auschwitz on August 9, 1942 after fighting for women’s rights and gender equality in Germany, from the perspective of New York Times journalist Michael Rosten. No casting announcements have been made yet. George Edde, Max Keller (Deadly Blessing, Conan TV series) and Micheline Keller are producing the project. No word yet on a release date for A Rose in Winter. (Entertainment Weekly)
