Premiering on Wednesday, August 20, on Netflix in the U.S. is the BBC mini-series Happy Valley created by Sally Wainwright (Last Tango in Halifax) and starring Sarah Lancashire, Steve Pemberton, Siobhan Finneran, George Costigan and Joe Armstrong. The show’s original music is composed by Ben Foster (Torchwood, Hidding Kingdoms). Happy Valley centers around the personal and professional life of hardworking, dedicated policewoman in a small town where alcoholics, drug addicts and pregnant teens are a way of life. The crime drama premiered this spring in the UK and all six episodes will be available to stream on Netflix starting Wednesday.
Premiering on Friday, August 22, on Netflix is the animated comedy BoJack Horseman created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg and featuring the voices of Will Arnett, Amy Sedaris, Alison Brie and Aaron Paul. Jesse Novak (The Mindy Project) is composing the show’s original music. The show’s original music is composed by Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Battlestar Galactica, DaVinci’s Demons, Outlander).
