Christophe Beck and Jake Monaco have composed the score for the upcoming action comedy Let’s Be Cops. The film is directed by Luke Greenfield (The Girl Next Door, Something Borrowed) and stars Damon Wayans Jr., Jake Johnson, Rob Riggle, Nina Dobrev, James D’Arcy and Andy Garcia. The movie follows two struggling pals who dress as police officers for a costume party and get tangled in a real life web of mobsters and dirty detectives. Greenfield has also co-written the screenplay with Nick Thomas and is producing the project with Simon Kinberg (X-Men: First Class, Elysium). Beck has previously scored the Kinberg-produced and -scripted action comedy This Means War. Let’s Be Cops is set to be released on August 13, 2014 by 20th Century Fox. Beck has also composed the music for the upcoming sci-fi thriller Edge of Tomorrow starring Tom Cruise & Emily Blunt and is currently scoring the family comedy Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day starring Steve Carell.
