Marcelo Zarvos will be reteaming with director Barry Levinson (Rain Man) on the upcoming drama The Humbling. The film is based on a novel by Philip Roth (The Human Stain) and stars Al Pacino, Dianne Wiest, Greta Gerwig, Kyra Sedgwick, Mandy Patinkin and Charles Rodin. The movie follows an aging actor who has an affair with a lesbian woman half his age at a secluded country house in Connecticut. Levinson and Pacino are also producing the project with Jason Sosnoff. Zarvos has previously collaborated with Levinson on his last two theatrical features What Just Happened and The Bay, as well as on the HBO original movie You Don’t Know Jack. The Humbling is currently in post-production. No word yet on a release date.
Zarvos (Enough Said, The Words, The Good Shepherd) will also return to score the second season of Showtime’s Ray Donovan. The composer has also composed the music for the drama The Face of Love starring Annette Bening & Ed Harris, which will be released this Friday, March 7 and the indie drama Little Accidents starring Elizabeth Banks, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
