Michael Suby is set to score the upcoming CW series The Originals. The show created by Julie Plec is a spin-off of the network’s hit series The Vampire Diaries and stars Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Claire Holt, Phoebe Tonkin, Charles Michael Davis, Daniella Pineda, Leah Pipes and Danielle Campbellas. The drama follows the Original family, the first existing vampires in the world that was first seen in the second season. Plec is executive producing the Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios production with Leslie Morgenstein (Gossip Girl) and Gina Girolamo (The Lying Game). Suby whose previous credits include the feature The Butterfly Effect and ABC Family’s Kyle XY and Pretty Little Liars has scored all episodes of The Vampire Diaries and will also return to score the show’s fifth season this fall. The Originals is set to premiere on October 3, 2013 and will move to its regular time slot on October 8 and air every Tuesday night on The CW.
