Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the martial arts epic The Grandmaster. The album features the film’s original music composed by Shigeru Umebayashi (House of Flying Daggers, In the Mood for Love) and Nathaniel Mechaly (Taken, Colombiana). Also included are two tracks composed by Ennio Morricone, including Deborah’s Theme from Once Upon a Time in America. The soundtrack will be released physically on September 10, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check back on this page for audio clips and the release date of the digital version. The Grandmaster is directed by Wong Kar-Wai (In the Mood for Love, My Blueberry Nights) and stars Tony Leung, Ziyi Zhang, Chang Chen, Zhao Benshan, Xiao Shenyang and Song Hye Kyo. The movie about martial artist Ip Man, who practiced the art of Wing Chun and is best known as the man who taught Bruce Lee will be released on August 23 by the Weinstein Company.
