Jeremy Sams has reteamed with director Roger Michell on the upcoming comedy drama Le Week-End. The movie starring Jim Broadbent, Lindsay Duncan and Jeff Goldblum follows a long-married couple who visit Paris for the first time since their honeymoon to revitalize their marriage and meet an old friend who gives them a new view of life and love. Hanif Kureishi (Venus, My Beautiful Laundrette) has written the screenplay and Kevin Loader (Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, In the Loop, Nowhere Boy) is producing the project. Sams has previously collaborated with Michell on the features Persuasion, Enduring Love, The Mother and last year’s Hyde Park on Hudson. Michell has previously also worked together with composers including David Arnold (Morning Glory, Changing Lanes) and Trevor Jones (Notting Hill). Le Week-End is set to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September and is set for a UK release on October 4, 2013. Music Box Films has picked up domestic rights for the film, but no release date has been announced yet.
