Andrew Lockington is scoring the upcoming sci-fi series Primeval: New World. The show created by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens (Star Trek: Enterprise) is a North American spin-off of the British series Primeval, which ran for five seasons and aired in the US on Syfy and BBC America. Primeval: New World stars Niall Matter (Eureka), Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries) and Danny Rahim as a team of animal experts and scientists investigating paranormal events, while battling both prehistoric and futuristic creatures. Martin Wood and Gillian Horvath who previously worked with Lockington (Journey to the Center of the Earth, City of Ember) on the sci-fi series Sanctuary are among the executive producers of the Omni Film Productions show. Syfy and Hulu have picked up the US basic cable rights to the Primeval spinoff and are targeting a release in 2013. The show premieres on the Space Channel in Canada later this month and is set to air in the UK on Watch in early 2013.
