Adele confirmed today that she has co-written and performed the theme song for the latest James Bond film Skyfall. The song is written by the English singer/songwriter and Paul Hepworth (Rolling in the Deep) and was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London. Hepworth is also credited as the arranger with J.A.C. Redford on the sheet music of the song that Adele posted on Twitter this morning (see image attached after the jump). Redford is best known as a composer for films and TV shows including St. Elsewhere and as an orchestrator for such composers as James Horner and Skyfall‘s composer Thomas Newman. The song will be available on Adele’s official site on Friday. The single is also available for pre-order on iTunes. More information about the soundtrack album featuring Newman’s score are expected to be published soon. Skyfall directed by Sam Mendes and starring Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Judi Dench, Naomie Harris, Berenice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney and Ben Whishaw will be released in the US on November 9, 2012 (with IMAX previews happening on November 8).
