Scoremagacine is reporting that Javier Navarette has signed on to score the upcoming HBO drama Hemingway & Gellhorn. The biopic focuses on the romance between Ernest Hemingway and WWII correspondent Martha Gellhorn, Hemingway’s inspiration for For Whom the Bell Tolls and the only woman who ever asked for a divorce from the writer. The film is directed by Philip Kaufman and stars Clive Owen, Nicole Kidman, David Strathairn, Parker Posey, Rodrigo Santoro, Molly Parker, Lars Ulrich, Peter Coyote, Diane Baker and Tony Shalhoub. James Gandolfini (The Sopranos) is producing the film through his production company Attaboy.
