Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for the Disney+ original short The Shepherd. The album features the film’s original music composed by Anne Chmelewsky (Where Hands Touch, Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, Only People). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 1 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Shepherd is co-written and directed by Iain Softley and stars Ben Radcliffe, Steven Mackintosh and John Travolta. The short is set on Christmas Eve and tells the story of a young RAF pilot flying home across the North Sea who finds himself in peril when his radio and electric power cut out, leaving him stranded and running on limited fuel.

‘Hackers’ 25th Anniversary Soundtrack Album Announced
Varese Sarabande will release a new soundtrack album for the 1995 thriller Hackers directed by Iain Softley and starring Jonny Lee Miller, Angelina Jolie, Renoly Santiago, Laurence Mason, Matthew Lillard, Jesse Bradford, Lorraine Bracco and Fisher Stevens. The album, which is being released in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the film, features electronic music tracks from the original soundtrack album by artists such as Underworld, Orbital, Prodigy, among others. Also included are nine previously unreleased score tracks by composer Simon Boswell (Shallow Grave, Lord of Illusions, A Midsummer Night’s Dream), as well as two pieces by Guy Pratt. The 2-CD set will be released on April 17, 2020 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
Christian Henson to Score ‘Trap for Cinderella’
Christian Henson is the composer of the upcoming British psychological thriller Trap for Cinderella. The movie is directed by Iain Softley and based on Sebastien Japrisot’s novel of the same name centering on the mystery surrounding two women who are trapped inside a beach house at a French resort that is gutted by a fire of suspicious origin. Tuppence Middleton, Alexandra Roach, Kerry Fox and Frances de la Tour are starring in the film produced by Robert Jones (Dirty Pretty Things) and Dixie Linder (The War Zone). Softley has previously worked with composers Edward Shearmur (K-Pax, The Wings of the Dove) and Javier Navarrete (Inkheart) on his last couple of features.
