Scottish newspaper The National is reporting that Academy Award nominee Patrick Doyle (Thor, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Cinderella, Brave, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Sense and Sensibility, Gosford Park, Murder on the Orient Express) is scoring a documentary about the Declaration of Arbroath, the letter submitted to Pope John XXII in 1320 that set out to confirm Scotland’s status as an independent, sovereign state. The movie, which has the working title Declaration, will feature appearances by historians Fiona Watson & Tom Turpie, broadcasters Billy Kay & Alistair Heather and author Andrew Redmond Barr.
