Oona Records has released a soundtrack album for the Swedish drama Opponent (Motståndaren). The album features the film’s original music composed by Jon Ekstrand (Morbius, Life, Easy Money, All the Old Knives) & Carl-Johan Sevedag (Borg vs McEnroe, Horizon Line, Red Dot). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Opponent is written and directed by Milad Alami and stars Payman Maadi, Marall Nasiri, Ardalan Esmaili, Björn Elgerd and Arvin Kananian. The movie follows a man who has been forced to flee Iran and – together with his family – ends up in a run-down hotel in Northern Sweden, where he joins the local wrestling club to increase their chances of asylum. The drama will premiere this weekend at the 2023 Berlin Film Festival and is set to open in Swedish theaters this March.
