Leo Birenberg (Cobra Kai, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, PEN15, Son of Zorn, Secret Society of Second-Born Royals) has composed the original score for the upcoming coming-of-age romantic comedy drama Anything’s Possible. The film marks the directorial debut of actor Billy Porter and stars Eva Reign, Abubakr Ali and Renée Elise Goldsberry. The movie follows a confident high school girl who is trans as she navigates through senior year and musters up the courage to ask her classmate out, despite the drama he knows it could cause. Ximena García Lecuona wrote the screenplay. Christine Vachon (Carol, Far from Heaven), David Hinojosa (First Reformed, Zola), Andrew Lauren (The Spectacular Now) and D.J. Gugenheim (Vox Lux, High Life) are producing the Orion Pictures production. Porter also serves as the project’s executive music producer, alongside Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Justin Tranter. A soundtrack album will be released by Republic Records. Anything’s Possible will premiere on June 22 exclusively on Amazon Prime.
Birenberg also continues to co-score Netflix’s Cobra Kai (with Zach Robinson), which will return for its fifth season on September 9, and DreamWorks Television’s animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, which will debut its fifth and final season on July 21.
