It was announced during a panel at today’s third day of Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim that Kevin Kiner (Narcos: Mexico, CSI: Miami, Making a Murderer, Hell on Wheels) is composing the music for Lucasfilm’s upcoming Disney+ animated shorts series Tales of the Jedi. The 6-part anthology show written and executive produced by Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett) will tell stories from different Jedi of the prequel era and features Star Wars characters Ahsoka Tano, Count Dooku, Qui-Gon Jinn (voiced by Liam Neeson), Mace Windu and Anakin Skywalker. Kiner has previously scored the Filoni-produced animated shows Star Wars: The Clone Wars (and the feature of the same title), Rebels and The Bad Batch (which will return for a second season). Tales of the Jedi will premiere this fall on Disney+.
Kiner’s other recent projects include AMC’s Dark Winds (to premiere on June 12), as well as new seasons of Showtime’s City on a Hill and HBO Max’s Peacemaker, Titans & Doom Patrol.
