Taylor Swift has recorded an original song for the upcoming thriller Where the Crawdads Sing. The track, entitled Carolina, is written and performed by Swift and is featured in the film’s first trailer, which just premiered today and can be checked out after the jump. The movie adaptation of Delia Owens’ bestselling novel is directed by Olivia Newman and stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Taylor John Smith, Harris Dickinson, Michael Hyatt, Sterling Macer, Jr. and David Strathairn. As previously reported, Mychael Danna has composed the original score for the 3000 Pictures film produced by Reese Witherspoon & Lauren Neustadter, which will be released in theaters nationwide on July 15 by Sony Pictures.
