Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the French crime drama Maigret. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Bruno Coulais (The Chorus, Coraline, Wolfwalkers, The Crimson Rivers, The Secret of Kells, Winged Migration). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. Maigret is co-written and directed by Patrice Leconte and stars Gerard Depardieu, Melanie Bernier and Jade Labeste. The movie is based on Georges Simenon’s classic novel and follows the titular detective as he investigates the death of a young girl in 1953 and crosses paths with a young offender who reminds him of the dead girl. The drama is being released in French theaters today.
