Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish/French horror movie The Grandmother (La abuela). The album features the film’s original music composed by Fatima Al Qadiri (Atlantics). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. A vinyl edition is available to order on Amazon and the label’s official website. The Grandmother is directed by Paco Plaza (REC), written by Carlos Vermut and stars Almudena Amor and Vera Valdez. The Apache Films production follows a Paris model who returns to Madrid where her grandmother who had brought her up, just had a stroke and whose stay with her relative turns into a waking nightmare. The movie premiered at various film festivals last year and has just been released in Spanish theaters last weekend. A domestic release is expected later this year.
