Premiering tomorrow, December 20, is the HBO documentary Reopening Night directed by Rudy Valdez and executive produced by Matthew O’Neill and Perri Peltz. Jongnic Bontemps (My Name Is Pauli Murray, United Skates, The 4400, The Land, We Are: The Brooklyn Saints, The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel) has composed the film’s original music. The movie, which follows the cast, crew and staff of the world-famous Public Theater as they prepare to mount an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Merry Wives at the open-air Delacorte Theater in New York City following its closure during the pandemic, will premiere on HBO and will also be available to stream on HBO Max.
