Lakeshore Records has released a new soundtrack album for the Spanish Amazon original series El Cid. The album features the original themes, interludes and textures written by Academy Award winner Gustovo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Book of Life, Narcos: Mexico) who composed the music for the first two seasons of the show with Alfonso G. Aguilar. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. The first two tracks can also be checked out below. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring Santaolalla’s & Aguilar’s score from Season 1 & 2 earlier this year. El Cid is created by José Velasco & Luis Arranz and stars Jaime Lorente, Álvaro Rico, Jaime Olías, Juan Echanove, Alicia Sanz and Amparo Alcazar. The first two seasons of the historical drama about legendary medieval war hero are now available to stream on Amazon Prime.
