Neon announced today that Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood is attached to score the upcoming biographical drama Spencer. The film is directed by Pablo Larraín (Jackie) and stars Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana, alongside Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins and Sean Harris. The movie is set during the Christmas holiday in December 1991 when Princess Diana decided to leave her marriage to Prince Charles. Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, Eastern Promises, Locke) wrote the screenplay. Jan de Dios Larraín (A Fantastic Woman, Gloria Bell) is producing the project for Fabula Films, alongside Jonas Dornbach & Janine Jackowski (Toni Erdmann) for Komplizen Film and Paul Webster (Atonement, Pride & Prejudice) for Shoebox Films. Greenwood has previously scored several films, including Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood, Inherent Vice, The Master & Phantom Thread, as well as Lyne Ramsay’s You Were Never Really Here & We Need to Talk About Kevin & . Spencer just started principal photography and is set to be released in late 2021.
