Prototype Recording has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Capital in the Twenty-First Century. The album features the film’s original music composed by AIR’s JB Dunckel (K.O., The Summer of Sangaile, Cyprien). The soundtrack is now available digitally. Capital in the Twenty-First Century is directed by Justin Pemberton and explores wealth and power and shines a light on today’s growing inequality. The movie is based on the international bestseller by French economist Thomas Piketty and features interviews with Piketty himself, as well as economists Joseph Stiglitz, Ian Bremmer, Rana Foroohar, and Francis Fukuyama. The documentary was shown at various film festivals over the last year and is currently set to be released in select U.S. theaters on April 3 by Kino Lorber (but likely to be delayed for a relase later this year).
