H. Scott Salinas (A Private War, Cartel Land, The Ballad of Lefty Brown, Warrior) has composed the original score for the new FX docu-series The Most Dangerous Animal of All. The show is based on The New York Times best-selling book of the same name and explores one man’s search for the father who abandoned him, only to uncover the worst: he believes his father is the Zodiac killer, one of the most infamous serial killers in American history. The 4-parter is directed by Kief Davidson (A Lego Brickumentary) who is also executive producing the project with Ross M. Dinerstein (The Innocent Man, 6 Balloons, 1922). Salinas has previously collaborated with Davidson on the documentary features The Ivory Game and Bending the Arc. The Most Dangerous Animal of All will premiere on March 6 on FX. Salinas has also recently scored George Nolfi’s drama The Banker, which will open in select theaters on March 6 before premiering on Apple TV+ on March 20. as well as the Channel 4 series Baghdad Central, which premiered in the UK last month and will debut in the U.S. on Hulu and the second season of Showtime’s The Trade, which is also premiering on March 6. The composer has also written the music for the EPSN 30 for 30 documentary Lance directed by Marina Zenovich. The 2-parter, which centers on the rise and fall of Lance Armstrong, premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will air on ESPN later this year.
