La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for Roland Emmerich’s 1994 sci-fi adventure Stargate starring Kurt Russell and James Spader. The 25th Anniversary edition features the expanded and remastered score from the movie composed by David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Sherlock, Tomorrow Never Dies, Shaft), including over 30 minutes of previously unreleased music. The label has also announced a 35th Anniversary soundtrack edition for the 1984 original The Karate Kid movie directed by John G. Avildsen and starring Ralph Macchio, Noriyuki “Pat” Morita and Elizabeth Shue. The album features the film’s remastered score composed by Academy Award winner Bill Conti (Rocky, For Your Eyes Only, The Thomas Crown Affair, The Right Stuff), as well as previously unreleased additional music tracks.
