Edward Shearmur (Charlie’s Angels, Miss Congeniality, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Johnny English) has recently scored the new Netflix original movie Falling Inn Love. The film is directed by Roger Kumble (Just Friends) and stars Christina Milian, Adam Demos and Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman. The romantic comedy revolves around a San Francisco exec who wins a New Zealand inn and ditches city life to remodel and flip the rustic property with help from a handsome contractor. Elizabeth Hackett and Hilary Galanoy wrote the screenplay. Robyn Snyder and Mel Turner are producing the Mar Vista Entertainment production. Shearmur has previously collaborated with Kumble on such features as Cruel Intentions, The Sweetest Thing, College Road Trip and Furry Vengeance. Falling Inn Love will premiere tomorrow, August 29, exclusively on Netflix.
Shearmur is currently up for an Emmy Award for his score for Ben Stiller’s Showtime series Escape at Dannemora, which premiered last fall.
